Abstract
This paper describes the concepts and methodologies regarding personal directory and file management. It also presents a software system (SIFO), which provides a structured environment for program developers using an on-line template that provides guidance during program initiation and modification. This system can assist both experienced and inexperienced programmers in organizing and documenting files in a structured manner.
