Abstract
The MeDoc digital library service has been offering on-line access to over 40 books for more than 10 months. With this project first long-term data is available to give a first insight into how electronic online books are used. The data were collected in two ways: Readers were questioned how the electronic books offered by the MeDoc electronic library service are used. In addition, the usage of the digital library service was monitored through network facilities and evaluated. This paper gives the most significant results of both evaluations.
