Zusammenfassung

Die Digitalisierung hat maßgebliche Auswirkungen auf den Wirtschafts- und Industriestandort Österreich. Die technischen Entwicklungen schreiten rasant voran, und die sich daraus ergebenden Implikationen müssen berücksichtigt werden. In diesem Artikel wird ein Blick in die Vergangenheit geworfen und diskutiert, wie sich die industrielle Produktivität über das vergangene Jahrhundert durch den technologischen Fortschritt weiter entwickelt hat. Basierend auf dieser Analyse werden Prognosen und Trends für die zukünftigen Entwicklungen präsentiert und diskutiert. Neue innovative Konzepte der Robotik werden als Beispiel für die Digitalisierung moderner Fertigungsbetriebe vorgestellt. Es wird diskutiert, welchen Einfluss die kooperative Robotik auf die Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten hat und welche neuen Tätigkeitsfelder dadurch entstehen können.

Abstract

Digitalization has a significant impact on the economic and industrial location of Austria. The technical developments are proceeding rapidly and resulting implications have to be taken into account. In this article we take a look into the past and discuss how industrial productivity has evolved over the past century through technological advances. Based on this analysis, forecasts and trends are presented and discussed for future developments. New innovative concepts of robotics are presented as an example for the digitalization of modern production plants. Furthermore, we discuss the impact of cooperative robotics on employment opportunities and new fields of activity that may arise.
