Abstract
Human-robot collaboration is becoming a significant element in increasing modern production environments of the fourth industrial revolution. However, companies need clearly defined processes to develop and deploy these safe collaborative production systems. In addition to machine and human safety, IT security must also be taken into account. Therefore, this article focuses on the elaboration of a roadmap to support the development of such safe and secure collaborative production systems. This will be ensured by underlying standards and guidelines regarding safety and IT security which are incorporated as early as possible in the development phase. The introduced methodology is intended to facilitate a cost-effective development and implementation of safe collaborative production systems by Austrian companies.
