Abstract
Nowadays, service robots have become very popular. The objective of this work was to develop a restaurant service mobile robot. This service mobile robot can transfer dishes around the restaurant. It can also show customers to an unoccupied table. The efficiency of the restaurant service can be increased with this robot. This service mobile robot is equipped with a “laser positioning system.” The laser positioning system is used for rapid and precise positioning and guidance of the mobile robot.
