Transmit Antenna Selection with Optimal Power Allocation and Channel Estimation Error

Abstract

In this paper, we consider the capacity of transmit antenna selection with optimal power allocation and channel estimation error over uncorrelated Rayleigh fading channels. We assume that one transmit antenna is chosen for transmission and the maximal ratio combining (MRC) is applied at the receiver. We derive the exact capacity expression. Numerical result to validate our analysis is also presented.
