Abstract

At present, the informatization of basketball matches is gradually increasing. Massive data accumulated in the basketball database can be effectively used through data mining. This study analyses basketball techniques and tactics based on the Apriori algorithm. First, this study introduces Apriori algorithm in data mining of association rules. Then, based on Apriori algorithm, this study explores most commonly used technical actions in basketball games to provide reference for the training of players and coaches. Improved algorithms and data of basketball games were used to make association rules analysis to analyze technical and tactical characteristics. The algorithm generates association rules based on the frequent itemsets of basketball technical moves. The improved algorithm can dig out strongly connected technical actions in basketball games. The analysis has significantly guiding function.
