Abstract
To resolve the problems of network topology control for wireless sensor networks, a new model for sensor networks was proposed on the basis of the technology of mobile-service computing in this paper. Task processing can be done at the local nodes, which can effectively reduce network traffic, and save energy and bandwidth. Three typical problems about hole-avoiding routing, isolated node and sleep scheduling, were analysed respectively and the corresponding topology control approach was proposed subsequently. The result of simulation research work shows that, the approach can significantly reduce energy consumption of sensor nodes, reduce network traffic load and improve transmission performance.
