Abstract

In this paper, we design a planar monopole UWB antenna among two notched. Two semi-elliptical geometries are introduced at the lower and upper side’s rectangular patch. For increasing the antenna’s impedance bandwidth, stepped ground plane is used. The interference because of Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX 3.3–3.8 GHz) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN 5–6 GHz) bands are eliminated by introducing half wavelength U-shaped slot in radiator and couple of quarter wavelength L-shaped slots in stepped floor plane, respectively. Results are obtained from the fabricated UWB antenna. The proposed antennas are established from Omni-directional radiation pattern.
