Abstract

A new design of a 1:2 and 1:4 microstrip power divider is proposed using finite defected ground structure (FDGS), in this paper. In order to design the presented divider, Wilkinson and Gysel power divider are used simultaneously. T-shaped and L-Shaped resonators are applied to decrease the circuit size and suppress eliminate unwanted harmonics. Moreover, to have more size reduction, Wilkinson power divider is located inside of the Gysel divider. The center of operating frequency is about 2.75 GHz (from 2.6 to 2.9 GHz). The designed power divider suppresses four harmonies and reduces the size of power divider about 88%.
