Zusammenfassung
Hardware-Sicherheitsmodule haben heute ihren festen Platz in der IT-Sicherheitsarchitektur. Immer mehr Anwendungen und Applikationen nutzen Hardware-Sicherheitsmodule und bieten entsprechende Schnittstellen. Der Beitrag gibt einen überblick über die Historie und grundsätzliche Entwicklung von Hardware-Sicherheitsmodulen und geht auf die Situation im Bereich der Applikation Interfaces (API) für HSM ein.
