Zusammenfassung

Nach langen Jahren inhaltsreicher Fachdiskussionen über die Chancen und Risiken der Anwendung von biometrischen Verfahren im Banking hat eine neue Ära begonnen. Der Siegeszug der mobilen Endgeräte und die Verbesserungen bei Sensoren und Protokollen haben die Einführung der biometrischen Authentifizierung für Banking-Anwendungen stimuliert. In diesem Beitrag werden den traditionellen Vorbehalten gegenüber angemessen sicheren Biometrieanwendungen Lösungen entgegengestellt, die als vertrauenswürdig betrachtet werden können.
