Die Chiffriermaschine ENIGMA war eines der größten militärischen Geheimnisse des letzten Jahrhunderts. Weltberühmt wurde sie nicht zuletzt wegen ihrer raffinierten Entschlüsselung durch polnische Kryptoanalytiker und Informatik-Pioniere wie Alan Turing. Studierende der Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart haben nach drei Jahren Entwicklungszeit eine Anleitung veröffentlicht, mit der sich im Schulunterricht ein funktionierendes Exemplar der Enigma mit dem 3D-Drucker nachbauen lässt.
