Zusammenfassung

Die Revision der eIDAS-Verordnung soll einen einheitlichen Rechtsrahmen für harmonisierte eID-Lösungen und neue Vertrauensdienste schaffen. Bis 2026 müssen alle EU-Mitgliedsstaaten eine sogenannte “European Digital Identity Wallet” (EUDIW) für Bürger:innen und juristische Personen zur Verfügung stellen. Dies erfordert einheitliche Standards, um die Interoperabilität und somit die grenzüberschreitende Nutzung der EUDIW als Alternative zu den Google- und Apple-Wallets zu ermöglichen.
