Abstract

In recent years, the demand of quality software products has been increasing rapidly. At the same time, the delivery period is becoming more and more shorter in spite of high-quality requirement. Therefore, we have to manage process quality and control product quality in the earlystage of software development in order to produce highly quality software products during the limited development-period. Then, we need to perform accurate development-period estimation with satisfying a specified quality requirement. In this paper, we conduct multivariate linear analyses by using actual software process data, derive effective process factors affecting the development-period, the final product quality, and the delivery-delay days, and discuss the significant process factors with respect to the product quality and delivery-delay days.
