Abstract

In this article an arrow shaped monopole antenna with single feed line is proposed. The proposed antenna provides large percentage bandwidth of 133 % with attractive positive peak gain 5.2 dBi. Two slots on the radiating patch and a rectangular shaped slot on the ground plane are loaded. The structure dimensions of the ground plane with slots are 40 mm × 43 mm and 32 mm × 22 mm respectively. The achieved simulated and measured frequency bands are 6.05 GHz (1.92–7.97 GHz) and 6.5 GHz (1.7–8.2 GHz). Also front to back ration of E and H-plane radiated power is very attractive. The simulated data have been confirmed by measured data.
