Abstract
The total variation-regularization-based scheme for image reconstruction contaminated by Poisson noise is investigated. To quickly obtain the best numerical solution, a fast alternating direction algorithm is addressed and the convergence of the proposed approach is strictly proved. Subsequently, our numerical simulations markedly demonstrate the high efficiency and stability of the new strategy in terms of evaluating the computation speed and especially the quality of the recovered images, compared with some of the current state-of-the-art numerical algorithms.
