Abstract
A Smartt interfërometry based opto-electronic wavelet processor is described. It is capable of delivering the true wavelet transform rather than just the amplitude at video rate for image coding and other applications. High quality reconstructed images were obtained from the experiment. The system is compact, fieldable and suitable for practical applications.
