A Reconfigurable and Redundant Optically-Connected Memory System using a Silicon Photonic Switch

Abstract

We demonstrate a novel optically-connected memory system based on a silicon photonic switch that enables reconfiguration and redundancy. The FPGA-emulated system achieved 10-Gb/s WDM communication between a CPU and two memory nodes.
