Sharing-Konzepte in Smart Cities: Praxisbeispiele der PostAuto Schweiz AG

Zusammenfassung

Städte stehen vor grossen Herausforderungen, wie etwa der zunehmenden Knappheit von Ressourcen, zu deren langfristigen Lösung innovative Konzepte vonnöten sind. Smart Cities verwenden moderne Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien, um ihre Bürger dabei einzubeziehen, den städtischen Raum nachhaltig, sozial und ökologisch zu gestalten und ihre Dienstleistungen basierend auf den Bedürfnissen der Nutzer zu optimieren. Ein Lösungsansatz ist das Konzept der Sharing Economy, bei welchem (teilweise private) materielle Güter und weitere Ressourcen vermietet oder kostenlos geteilt werden. Eine Stadt kann als Shareable City durch die Bereitstellung fortgeschrittener und gut funktionierender (ökonomischer und sozialer) Infrastruktur die verschiedenen Ansätze der Sharing Economy integrieren. Es gibt in Schweizer Städten bereits einige (geplante und) funktionierende Sharing-Konzepte, insbesondere im Bereich des Carsharings, aber auch in weiteren Bereichen. Auch die PostAuto Schweiz AG bietet verschiedene Sharing-Dienstleistungen an. Für ein besseres Verständnis werden bestehende Projekte näher erläutert und die Theorie wird durch Praxisbeispiele unterstützt. Dabei wird insbesondere auf die Mobilitätsplattform NordwestMobil der PostAuto Schweiz AG eingegangen, welche verschiedene Mobilitätsangebote im Grossraum Basel auf einer einzigen Plattform bündelt.

Abstract

To provide a long-term solution to the big challenges cities are facing, such as the increasing scarcity of resources, innovative concepts are necessary. Smart cities apply advanced information and communication technology to include their citizens, to create sustainable, social and ecological urban space and to optimize their services based on the needs of their users. One approach is the concept of the sharing economy in which (partially private) material goods and other resources are rented out or shared for free. As a shareable city, a city is able to integrate the different approaches of the sharing economy by providing an advanced and well-functioning (economic and social) infrastructure. In Swiss cities, there already exist some (planned and) functioning sharing concepts, especially in the field of car sharing, but also in other areas. PostBus Switzerland Ltd. offers various sharing-services too. For a better understanding, existing projects are illustrated more closely and the theory is supported with practical examples. Especially, the mobility platform NordwestMobil of PostBus Switzerland Ltd., which bundles several mobility offers in the greater area of Basel on one platform, is exemplified.
