Abstract
The user acceptance and usability of smart glasses-based systems is crucial for an implementation as a self-service system. This paper presents design principles for usability and acceptance as a result from an experimental evaluation of such a system. To evaluate the prototype the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology and the System Usability Scale are applied. The results contribute to the knowledge base of self-service technologies through the design of smart glasses-based self-service system as a prototype. Further practical implications include concrete design principles to develop a positive user experience for a smart glasses-based self-service system.
