Abstract

This article demonstrates five capability models for sets of DevOps-related practices, which are derived from interview-based case studies in five organizations. The case studies’ main focus was to discuss the DevOps-related practices implemented by these organizations. The capability models describe practices with regards to organizational aspects of DevOps, infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, quality and metrics. A selection of the contained practices is discussed in detail. The capability models may be used by organization to evaluate which set of DevOps practices can be considered relevant and beneficial to them.
