Summary
This work deals with the problem of code optimization under the condition of compulsory cycle budgets for audio and video applications implemented on embedded signal processors. It shows the concepts of the "distance matrix" and the "conflict graph" and illustrates their inclusion into an optimizing enumeration process. The paper concludes with indications of the performance of the strategy, which has been extensively documented in a series of dissertations from Eindhoven University (NL).
Zusammenfassung
Die vorliegende Arbeit behandelt das Problem der Code Optimierung unter der Auflage verbindlicher Zeitvorgaben für Audio- und Videoanwendungen implementiert auf eingebetteten Signalprozessoren. Sie zeigt die Konzepte der "Distanzmatrix" und des "Konfliktgraphen" auf und illustriert ihren Einbau in einen optimierenden Enumerationsprozess. Die Arbeit schließt mit Andeutungen der Leistungsfähigkeit der Strategie, die in einer Folge von Dissertationen an der TU Eindhoven (NL) ausführlich belegt ist.
