Zusammenfassung
Die Prozessführung in Leitwarten ist gegenwärtig von einem technologischen Wandel betroffen, der getrieben wird von neueren Entwicklungen der Informationstechnik. Die Integration neuartiger leittechnischer Einrichtungen birgt die Gefahr, die Prozessführer zu überfordern. Eine wesentliche Gefahrenquelle geht dabei von einer Informationsüberflutung aus. Der vorliegende Artikel befasst sich mit dem Phänomen des Information Input Overload und den Implikationen für eine benutzergerechte Prozessführung.
Summary
Process control in control rooms is currently in a state of technological change driven by recent developments in information technology. The continual integration of new control devices carries with it the risk of overburdening the human operators, with a major source of danger here being information input overload. This article addresses this phenomenon and the implications for user-centered process control.
