An intense dispute is now going on around “killer robots”—lethal autonomous weapons. Typical argument against them are, however, not applicable to other kinds of killer robots, such as euthanasia robots or execution robots. In this article we try to articulate an argument which is more general as to be applicable to any kind of killer robots. We will thereby support the further claim that there are situations in which it is immoral to delegate robots to do morally significant tasks on behalf of human agents.
