Objective: Patient satisfaction with teleconsultation services can increase their acceptance. Validated and standardized questionnaires to measure the quality aspects of teleconsultation relevant from the patients' perspective are not available yet. We aim to develop such a questionnaire.
Methods: First, a systematic literature search was performed and focus groups were held to acquire quality aspects of teleconsultations patients perceive as important.
Results: Thirty-seven unique quality aspects distilled from these activities, were used for questionnaire development based on the framework of the Consumer Quality Index.
Conclusion: In future research, the comprehensiveness, relevance and unambiguousness of the concept questionnaire need to be tested and the reliability and internal cohesion of the questionnaire assessed.
