A quantitative study of the addition of extended core storage

Published: 01 March 1974 Publication History

Abstract

In evaluating computer systems it is necessary to identify the prime determinants of system performance, and to quantify a performance metric. The purpose of this paper is to present a quantitative study of the effects of a significant hardware reconfiguration on some measures of system performance, and thereby demonstrate the effectiveness of Kiviat graphs in performance analysis.
