Utilizing the FORMAC novelties

Published: 01 February 1975 Publication History

Abstract

FORMAC is a formula manipulation system and language, which was originally developed by IBM (ref. R. Tobey et al.: PL/1-FORMAC Symbolic Mathematics Interpreter, Contrib. Program Library 360D-03.3.004, Sept. 1969). Since IBM stopped support of FORMAC and released the source code in 1970, a number of extensions and improvements have been incorporated that make FORMAC more powerful and more modern.
