Published: 01 August 1983 Publication History

Abstract

The following problem is intended to test the ability of a general solver of system of equations. Both systems are real examples that occur in the process of proving that there is no better iteration formula for finding the inverse of a number (x = 1/a) than[EQUATION]with at most two multiplications.
