Abstract

Gibson and Nolan have stated, "EDP, as corporations use it today, is so complex that controlling it, or even understanding it, is almost too difficult for words." One of the most popular management techniques for attempting to control EDP is the implementation of a chargeout system In a chargeout system, users are charged an appropriate fee, computed by formula, for their use of computing resources on a job-by-job basis.
