ABSTRACT
This paper aims to present MeshDVNet, a Wireless Mesh Network (WMN)test-bed designed, built, and deployed by the LIP6 laboratory of Université Paris VI. MeshDVNet uses Wireless Mesh Routers (WMR), called MeshDVBox, which have been built using commercial components and open source software. On this platform, routing is performed by MeshDV, our custom routing framework, designed to take full advantage of WMNs' architecture. MeshDVBoxes are able to form a mesh backbone while performing also gateway advertising and natively integrating clients' mobility management.

The real gain of cross-layer routing in wireless mesh networks
REALMAN '06: Proceedings of the 2nd international workshop on Multi-hop ad hoc networks: from theory to realityDespite the large amount of research performed on wireless networking, test-beds are still limited in number and size. This paper shows the results of our efforts in building and deploying a test-bed, using the Wireless Mesh Net-work (WMN) architecture. ...
Slot allocation algorithms in centralized scheduling scheme for IEEE 802.16 based wireless mesh networks
In IEEE 802.16 based wireless mesh networks (WMNs), TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) is employed as the channel access method and only TDD (Time Division Duplex) is supported and there are no clearly separate downlink and uplink subframes in the ...
A Cross-Layer Channel Assignment Algorithm for Wireless Mesh Networks
ICECC '12: Proceedings of the 2012 International Conference on Electronics, Communications and ControlIn order to increase network capacity, wireless mesh network (WMN) routers usually have several interfaces and work on multi-channels, which results in the channel assignment problem at the same time. According to the characteristics and current works ...
