Abstract

My idea starting this composition was to create something very representational of the actual teapot, and try to incorporate as much detail as possible. With that in mind I came up with this idea of making a teapot which would be on the flat surface, (but by using the photographs of the one single teapot, with each photo being taken from different sides, different points of view), to give the viewer the same feeling when they see it as if they were looking the actual 3D object (like study of a teapot). Where they would be seeing different sides, seeing it under the different light sources..., give the viewer information about this actual teapot object, information about its shape, lines, prospective,.... Moreover, by putting everything in a single composition, I though that it would be a pretty affective way of illustrating all this information. Trying to put all this together, I also had this idea in my mind of making something like pixels in digital photographs, where each color is represented by dots of color placed next to each other, creating this overall look if bigger pixels were used, when you look at it from the far, it would seem as one solid color. Same thing is here, what I was trying to create to same extend, an image where if the viewer was standing further away, he/she wouldn't be able to recognize what the overall shape of the teapot was made of. Not be able to tell that it was made of each teapot placed next to one another, but most likely it would give the viewer this overall look as if was composed by some kind of textural lines of colors.
