evolution of a creature

Published: 30 July 2006 Publication History

Abstract

As a 3d artist specializing as a creature and characters in pursuit of surrealism I thought about what has influenced this dynamically fast moving field of artistic and technical research. It was important from me as an artist to know where my art has come from the past has influenced what we have now. As a 3d artist the look and feel of a person's artwork can be in some way linked to the tool makers and the research done to develop them. This artwork is based on this fact. I had previously done some artwork of a Griffon creature and so this fur and feather covered teapot is a reflection of where we have come from and where I and my work has evolved from. the layout of the image is i the layout of a default 3d viewport - 4 views.
