SOCG

This volume collects the research papers and the short descriptions of the video presentations of the 23rd Annual Symposium on Computational Geometry (SoCG '07), held June 6--8, 2007, in Gyeongju, South Korea.

The symposium was sponsored by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), in cooperation with SIGACT and SIGGRAPH, two Special Interest Groups of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and with additional support from the Korea Information Science Society (KISS).

The program committee received 139 submissions in response to the call for papers. After an initial electronic discussion phase, the program committee met on January 29 and 30, 2007, at the Bellairs Research Institute in Holetown, Barbados, and selected the 45 papers in this volume for presentation at the symposium. The program committee is extremely grateful to the dozens of external reviewers who provided detailed and insightful comments on the submitted papers. These reviewers are listed on page x.

The papers generally represent preliminary results of ongoing research. It is expected that most papers will eventually appear in a more polished and complete form in refereed journals. In addition, seven videos were submitted in response to the Call for Videos and Multimedia; all seven were accepted for presentation at the symposium by the video/multimedia committee. These proceedings contain a short description of each video; the videos themselves can be found online via the conference web site http://www.socg.org/2007/.
