Abstract
It was the best of times and a bit exhausting at times: two research conferences on the same topic in 17 days. With both proceedings available, you may examine the two snapshots at your leisure. The two simultaneous views, taken from different perspectives, provide a kind of stereoptic depth to this creature of uncertain lineage, unknown destination, and multiple aliases: "Groupware," "Computer Supported Cooperative Work," "Multi-User," and so on.
