A complex event processing project

Published: 28 March 2008 Publication History

Abstract

Event processing is defined as computing that performs operations on event objects, including creating, reading, transforming or deleting them. Complex Event Processing (CEP) is a new way to deal with applications where lots of agents producing huge amounts of data per second and you need to transform data into reliable information in a short amount of time. These applications consist of massive amounts of data being produced by the minute where traditional computing power (hardware and software) is not able to handle it. The objective of this project was to merge technical indicators (analysis of how the stock is negotiated in the market) with fundamental indicators (analysis of the company) in order to reveal good investments opportunities.
