Avalanche: towards a scalable content-based Pub/Sub network service

Published: 06 July 2009 Publication History

Abstract

In this paper, we aim at contributing to the current discussion of the architecture design of a Network of Information supporting a Data-Centric approach, we explore the ability to extend the "Publish and Subscribe"(Pub/Sub) service model to the Internet scale. For this purpose, we propose an original dissemination scheme that increases the scalability of the Content-Based Pub/Sub framework without sacrificing much of the service semantics.
