Abstract

On the behalf of the program and organizing committees, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the ACM SIGPLAN/SIGBED Conference on Languages, Compilers and Tools for Embedded Systems -- LCTES 2010. This year's conference continues its tradition of being the premier forum for presentation of research results on leading edge issues in embedded and cyber-physical systems. LCTES 2010 will join the Cyber-Physical Systems Week for the first time this year; this is an exciting opportunity for the exchange of ideas and results among several closely related conferences at CPS Week.

The call for papers attracted 58 submissions from Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas. Each submission was reviewed by at least three program committee members and outside reviewers when necessary. The program committee meeting was held online over a four day period from December 2 to December 5, 2009. Each program committee member could read and discuss each paper and review where he/she did not have a conflict. The papers were thoroughly discussed via a message forum facility in the START Conference Manager system. At the end of the meeting, the program committee selected 18 papers on memory and cache systems, languages and design environments, compiler optimization, synthesis, and timing analysis.
