Abstract

The topic of this article is to discuss the early days of CVS, from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s. First, a timeline depicting key milestones for those early days is discussed and this is followed by an interview with Brian Berliner, the creator of CVS in C. This article concludes with a reading list on CVS for further study.
