Cell voice: touching minds and hearts through voice and light

ABSTRACT

Cell Voice is a simple and interesting context-aware message medium, which allows people to convert tactile sense into auditory one. Family members or friends can directly leave voice messages in the device any time (see Figure 1). The recorded messages in the unit can then be played by a simple touch of a button (see Figure 2). Family members often use sticky notes as communication media. However, paper can be misplaced, and the content can easily be forgotten. Cell Voice enhances memory recall through the reproduction of human voice. A voice creates lasting impressions in people and touches the heart. When a voice is heard, one can truly feel the memory of a certain moment. Moreover, Cell Voice can be used for entertainment. Simplicity and functionality are its core design concepts.
