Web Art Science Camp London 2010

Published: 01 April 2011 Publication History

Abstract

Web Art Science Camp London was a day of ideas, fun, and creativity with Hypertext and the web. Open to anyone, our unconference was abuzz with fascinating ideas and demos across hypertext, the arts, and web science. In addition to introducing newcomers to SIGWEB, we also raised several hundred pounds for student travel bursaries. Our aim was to open up SIGWEB's work to new audiences and experiment with the potential of informal gatherings for sparking new collaborative research ideas. The resulting event was splendid, and the organising team hopes that our lessons can be applied to other regions and further UK events. http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/1942800.1942801.
