ABSTRACT
In this study we develop Core Less Unformed Machine (COLUMN) as novel & transformable robotic platform to explore how visually mediated information is useful to coordinate (interpersonal coordination) to establish connectedness of three participants to obtain COLUMN's behaviors (transformable rolling motions).

COLUMN: persuasion as a social mediator to establish the interpersonal coordination
HAI '14: Proceedings of the second international conference on Human-agent interactionWe developed soccer ball-shaped interactive artifacts (COLUMN) consisting of eight modules that are connected to twelve servomotors. In the interaction, COLUMN becomes a social mediator to prompt the connectivity of the users. We claim that the above ...
Computational approach to damped Beck's column
PHYCON '03: Proceedings of the 2003 International Conference on Physics and Control - Volume 4The paper discusses on the basis of computational energy approach the effect of damping on stability of damped Beck's column. By making the present computational approach to the damped Beck's problem, it has been demonstrated that though the internal ...
Rapid Identification of Column Heterogeneity
ICDM '06: Proceedings of the Sixth International Conference on Data MiningData quality is a serious concern in every data management application, and a variety of quality measures have been proposed, e.g., accuracy, freshness and completeness, to capture common sources of data quality degradation. We identify and focus ...
