ABSTRACT
Accurate reconstruction of urban façades remain a popular and important research topic. Usually, structure from motion (SFM) and multi-view stereo are used to obtain a sparse or dense 3D point cloud from a set of images. The sparse point set is then improved with the help of user interaction, vanishing points [Sinha et al. 2008], repetitive elements, symmetries, etc.

Shadow multiplexing for single camera visual hull reconstruction
PROCAMS '08: Proceedings of the 5th ACM/IEEE International Workshop on Projector camera systemsIn this work we propose a technique for efficient extraction of multiviewpoint silhouettes using a single camera. To achieve this, we replace the cameras of a typical multi-camera setup with light sources and capture the multiplexed cast shadows. ...
3D reconstruction of indoor and outdoor building scenes from a single image
SMVC '10: Proceedings of the 2010 ACM workshop on Surreal media and virtual cloningIn this paper, a novel method is proposed able to automatically generate accurate 3D models of both outdoor buildings and indoor scenes with perspective cues from line segments that are automatically extracted from a single image with an uncalibrated ...
Stereo Reconstruction from Multiperspective Panoramas
Abstract--A new approach to computing a panoramic (360 degrees) depth map is presented in this paper. Our approach uses a large collection of images taken by a camera whose motion has been constrained to planar concentric circles. We resample regular ...
