An overlapping variable linkage benchmark suite

Published: 06 July 2013 Publication History

Abstract

In this paper, a novel benchmarking suite for global real-valued evolutionary optimization is presented. It combines some merits of the Real-Parameter Black-Box Optimization Benchmarking (BBOP), the Benchmark Functions for the CEC'2010 Special Session and Competition on Large-Scale Global Optimization (LSGO) and one of its extensions benchmarks in regards to fitness functions consisting of overlapping sub-problems of varying size with a varying degree of overlapping, a previously not fully investigated scenario.
