Towards big data analytics framework: ICT professionals salary profile compilation perspective

Abstract

This paper elucidates the opportunity on expanding the on-going preparation of salary profile of information communications technology (ICT) professionals of Malaysia into a big data analytics (BDA) activity. The current activity is based on structured database provided by the online job service providers. In essence, BDA framework entailing 5 Vs namely, volume, variety, velocity, veracity and value used in gauging the gaps and potential areas to consider in next stages.
