DOLMENS: Presence and Autonomy in Digital Stages

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the research project DOLMENS. DOLMENS stands for Développement et OntoLogie de Machines et d'Espaces Numériques pour la Scène (Development and OntoLogy of Digital Machines and Spaces for the Stage). Its scope is to study the relationship between interaction, presence, autonomous systems and virtual reality in the field of digital performances. After a brief state of the art, this paper will present the main technical features and issues, as well as the main ideas on which it stands.
