Motion simulation of wet cloth on contact surface considering air effects and humidity

Published:03 December 2016Publication History

ABSTRACT

We present a physically based method to simulate the dynamic effects of wet cloth on contact surface under different humidity. In our dynamic calculation model, air pressure difference between two sides of the cloth is considered, which is influenced by the air permeability of cloth. We also present a new adsorption model derived from real-world measurements to calculate the friction more accurately. Contrary to previous methods, we take the effects of humidity into account, which may influence the calculation of air permeability and adhesion force. Experimental results show that our approach can accurately simulate different dynamic effects of wet cloth with different humidity.
