ABSTRACT
This research started with a case study of Adobe DW. Based on it, a questionnaire was devised and distributed to thousand designers featured on Behance. Following were semi-structured interviews with subjects from different fields of design. Their experiences depend on the manner of use or "strip of activity" of various Cloud based tools. Accordingly, the "active agents" were segregated into three groups: designers, developers and artists. Goffman's frame analysis offered the solution to present each groups' experience as a distinctive frame. While evaluating designers' experiences on the Cloud, three distinctive frames were created: creative, technical and experimental. By the end of the research, the results will be compared to contemporary experience theories such as flow experience and technology acceptance theory. The final goal of this research is to evaluate how existing experience theories apply to Cloud based non-hedonistic systems.
