ABSTRACT
Gas analyzers based on ion mobility spectrometry are small, robust and sensitive, but not very selective. Thus, a major problem when analyzing gas mixtures in e.g. environmental monitoring applications are overlapping peaks of different analytes. An often used approach to resolve such peaks is de-convolution. In this paper, two approaches, i.e. the well-known Jansson-Method and the less known Gold-Method, will be compared when used to determine peaks in noisy ion mobility spectra.

Influence of the Calculated Analyte Structure on the Quality of Theoretical ion Mobility Calculations
IEEA '18: Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Informatics, Environment, Energy and ApplicationsIon mobility spectrometry is a well-known technique used to identify and analyze substances in environmental monitoring by their characteristic ion mobility. In typical scenarios, there is only insufficient information available regarding what ...
A comparison of graphite and AIN caps used for annealing ion-implanted SiC
The SiC wafers implanted with Al were capped with AlN, C, or AlN and C and were annealed at temperatures as high as 1700°C to examine their ability to act as annealing caps. As shown previously, the AlN film was effective up to 1600°C, as it protected ...
