Auto Configuration Based Enhanced and Secure Domain Naming Service for IPV-6 Internet of Things

Abstract

In this Global Village, Wireless Sensor Networks enable Internet of Things Technology to facilitate users by providing control and services over various interconnected physical devices in smart homes that can communicate and exchange data with less user interaction. This paper proposes an Enhanced Secure DNS Name Auto-Configuration for IOT. Massive Scaling of devices causes a problem of devices identification and authentication. Legacy System Secure DNS Name Auto configuration deals with this issue, but it still creates a rush of traffic during Duplicate Address Detection uniqueness test of names generated by devices. Proposed model eliminates the multicasting at device name generation and uniqueness test stage as device authentication through NFC. Unique names generation and registration of DNS Server is automatically done by devices without human interaction.
